Mark your calendars!
Carbon Management Canada’s fourth annual conference will be held in Banff, Alberta from Tuesday, May 27 to Thursday, May 29, 2014.
Although program details have not been set, the event will feature presentations by researchers, a poster session and talks by an exciting slate of national and international speakers.
In the last three years, the conference has grown from 100 in 2010 to close to 300 at last year’s event in downtown Calgary. Speakers have talked about a wide range of topics ranging from the social license to operate, to international developments in carbon management, to decarbonizing the oil sands. Always well received have been the five-in-five presentations at which researchers talk about their work using five slides in five minutes. And of course, everyone enjoys the fascinating and dynamic poster presentations.
This year’s venue, that Banff Centre, will provide an unparalleled conference experience. Located just a short walk from downtown Banff, the Centre has state of the art audio-visual capabilities, a fabulous dining area with some of the best views you’ll ever see in a restaurant, exercise and swimming pool facilities, and, of course, accommodations.
More details about the conference program, travel subsidies for HQP, and registration will be released over the next few months – so check the CMC website often or watch the CMC Update newsletter for announcements.
