REGINA — Canada moved forward on March 20, 2012 with its plan to advance clean energy technologies and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The Honourable Joe Oliver, Minister of Natural Resources, announced an investment of $14 million in Aquistore, a carbon capture and storage demonstration project near Estevan, Saskatchewan. Minister Oliver was joined for the announcement by Saskatchewan’s Minister of Environment Dustin Duncan.
The Government of Canada is contributing $9 million through its ecoENERGY Technology Initiative and $5 million through Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) to the Aquistore Project.
