Conference registration now open

Registration for the CMC 2014 conference in Banff, Alberta is now open.

The conference website, which will be live on February 11, will contain more information about this exciting event.

This three-day event will provide the opportunity to hear from our funded investigators about progress being made on their research projects. The conference will also feature panels of international experts who’ll speak about topics such as issues surrounding the development of LNG in British Columbia, the realities of carbon politics in Canada, and alternative energy scenarios.

Accommodations

CMC’s 2014 annual conference is being held at The Banff Centre. Located in Banff National Park, this 43 acre property is the perfect location for meetings, conferences and events.

CMC has reserved a block of rooms at a special conference rate at the Banff Centre. This room block is only available until March 27, so book before then to secure your stay at this fabulous conference facility.

NOTE: Rooms are not available for the evening of Monday, May 26. We are asking guests to travel to Banff the morning of Tuesday, May 27 for the late 2 p.m. conference start.

Two types of rooms are available:

The Professional Development Centre: Superior Rooms
Superior Room – $150 per night per person. $75 per person per night/double occupancy.
(Note: There’s an $8 service charge per room per occupant, plus applicable taxes)
Superior Rooms are located in the Professional Development Centre, a pine lodge that offers bedrooms with full hotel amenities.

Lloyd Hall: Standard Rooms
Standard Room – $130 per person per night. $65 per person per night/double occupancy.
(Note: There’s an $8 service charge per room per occupant, plus applicable taxes)
Standard Rooms are located in Lloyd Hall, which offers comfortable accommodation with private bathrooms. All rooms have been renovated.

POSTER SESSIONS

The CMC 2014 Annual Conference is a key opportunity for investigators, postdocs and graduate students to showcase their research to their peers and key industry, government and NGO stakeholders.
