The Research Council of Norway has issued two calls – one targeting CO2 storage and Enhanced Oil Recovery, the other aimed at facilitating international R&D collaboration.
CO2 and EOR focus
The call focused on CO2 and EOR projects has a budget of about CAD 3.2 M, and is asking for projects addressing CO2 storage combined with EOR or EGR. International cooperation with actors in Canada or USA is required. This means that project proposals must include extensive cooperation with universities, research institutes or companies in the US and/or Canada.
The call text states that funding under the Norwegian CLIMIT programme is primarily intended to be awarded to Norwegian actors. It also states that funding from both Norwegian and international sources are desirable.
The call text is attached and it is also available from this link.
Deadline for proposals is May 27, 2015.
New call targets international collaboration
The Research Council of Norway has also introduced a new instrument for facilitating international R&D collaboration. A new call has just been published with a budget of CAD 11 M for international cooperation in general. This call does not not ask for projects, but strategic collaborating between Norwegian institutes/universities and foreign institutes/universities.
CCS is one of many thematic fields prioritized in the call. Canada is one of eight prioritized countries.
The call is available from this link.
The deadline is May 27, 2015.
