Carbon Management Canada is pleased to welcome Geoff Bury as its new Chief Executive Officer
Today, Carbon Management Canada (CMC) announced the appointment of Geoff Bury as its new CEO. Geoff comes to CMC after spending the past several years advancing low-carbon energy projects with a focus on carbon storage hubs, blue hydrogen and petrochemicals. As CEO, Geoff will work with the Board and CMC team to build on the organization’s strengths, pursue opportunities for sustainable growth and strengthen CMC’s role in advancing the development and deployment of practical carbon management solutions across Canada.
Geoff is a senior executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience across the energy, petrochemical and low-carbon sectors in Canada and international markets. He has extensive experience in corporate strategy, capital formation, project development, public markets, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and commercial negotiations. Throughout his career, he has worked with industry, governments, investors and other stakeholders to advance complex projects in Canada, Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East that focused on building partnerships among emitters, technology providers, governments and capital providers. He looks forward to continuing this critical work with CMC as the CCS sector advances towards large-scale operations.

Lisa Doig stepped down from the CMC Board of Directors to act as Interim CEO during this period of transition and will now return to serve on the Board. CMC thanks Lisa for her leadership and continued service to the organization.
