If you teach Grade 7-12 in Alberta, this is a Professional Development day that actually pays off in the classroom.
On August 25, Ten Peaks is hosting a full-day Carbon Capture Summit built for educators who want to bring real-world energy conversations to students without needing a chemistry background to do it.
Here’s what the day looks like:
Morning speakers from Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) and Carbon Management Canada
A walk through the École Secondaire Lacombe Composite High School greenhouse and gardens
A catered lunch
An afternoon tour of Blindman Brewing’s carbon capture facilities in Lacombe, seeing the technology running, not just described on a slide
Optional: stick around for a post-tour beverage with the group
You’ll leave with lesson resources and real context you can use when students start asking about emissions, innovation, and what Alberta’s energy future actually looks like.
Cost: $50 + GST. Spots are limited.
