Methane Emissions Detection
As governments and industries implement tougher methane standards, the need for technologies that rapidly and accurately detect fugitive and leaked emissions is stronger than ever. At the Field Research Station, our experts and equipment help clients calibrate and validate their methane emissions detection technologies quickly and cost-effectively.
On site, we provide controlled gas releases for technology developers who can validate their results against CMC’s dual comb mass spectrometer. One of only two in North America, the dual comb is a full wave field technology that integrates live readings with current weather, to give an instantaneous reading of all emissions passing through its 7 square km coverage down to parts per billion. In addition to the dual comb, we also provide a Picarro cavity ring-down spectrometre and optical gas imaging camera.
CMC’s globally recognized team operates the FRS and conducts applied research for industry and academic partners.
